Going To Las Vegas Alone – Do You Do It? Do You Feel Safe?
I have been going to Las Vegas for the past 11+ years and 9 times out of 10 I am by myself. I have never had any problems and actually end up enjoying myself. Like some previous post have noted, I stick with the main streets and don’t wander down the side streets especially after dark. If it gets late and I am not near enough to my hotel for an easy 5 minute walk I will then take a taxi back. But I have never had a problem.
Looking forward to my next trip there (hopefully soon)!

Just returned after my 3rd trip as a solo female.
No problemo..I travel uncomplicated… light cheap fast..
thats my motto)..Terribles 3.99 Buffet just fine by me to charge up my active day.
fyi..not a drinker but do check out the the vibe of the locales.
Always travel on the RCT during my stay and have a few times landed myself in not so cosmopolitan areas of the city by ie. missed connections. Mucho impressed with the RCT especially the new express routes and Transit Centers.
I jokingly stated that I should take the course for a Transit Ambassador. Carried my Schedule and map everywhere.
Directed visitors and actually escorted a few to their destination. mmm..maybe they’ll let me ride for fee!?? I’ll even settle for resident rate.
I find the “street” locals are more casual/less aggressive with approach or comments than back here in Canada. The “Hey Girl” got a wave and a nod of my head. Throw on a twang to my Canadian accent..
I wear no jewelery, clothing footware or carry items that makes me look like a tourista with $$$$.
After listening to someone in a security position of higher status..there seems to be more concerns in the Clubs attracting the big bucks..big heads.. big concerns
Lucked out on the temps. I called my employer I am now kicking myself for not changing my flight and extending my stay for an extra 5 days..
Traveled all over checking out the Resorts…and was exceptionally happy with the Orleans..where I stayed for 6 nights
Impressed by the Silverton and Southpoint.
My friends stay at the Aria..I don’t get it..unless they pay..lol

I go every year by myself. I never have felt scared. I get a rental car and always use valet parking so no parking lots or garages. Never had a problem.
I prefer it alone so I can go and do and not worry.
I stay downtown and love it with everything close. I have never had trouble even when a bit toooo much to drink, security is really helpful in and out of the casinos.
Can’t wait until next St.Pats day to be there.
I travel to LV from England each year alone (after my mother passed away in ’05) and on strip I feel safe enough but off strip I stick to Boulder Highway and not in the residential areas. After dark as soon as I leave a casino off strip it is by taxi or if nearby a bus.
Like where I live in NE England there are bad places after dark and the old motto plays “If you look for trouble you’ll find it” so I try not to be isolated or look touristy.
I frequently go alone as my wife can only handle Vegas in small doses. Never had a problem, dont have to try and make time for others just do what ever, whenever I want.
I usually travel to Vegas alone as my husband doesn’t like to gamble. I stay center strip so I can wander up and down the strip. I take the Deuce and never have had any issues. There is always lots of security personnel around who are willing to assist with anything. I always feel safe. Hotel staff are most accomadating about room near the elavators when I ask.
